Columns of the student tracking spreadsheet template

  • Student Number: It's a unique identifier column type. This column type automatically generates random and unique numbers for each new row you add. These numbers cannot be changed manually, they are automatically generated when each new row is added. You can customize this column type according to the characters you want to include in your unique identifiers—for example, uppercase, lowercase, numbers, symbols etc. You can also customize the length of your unique identifiers.
  • Full Name: It's a formula column type. This column combines the data in the "Name" vs "Surname" columns with the "Concatenate" formula and provides you with the full name of your students. The formula used is; CONCATENATE({Name}," ",{Surname})
  • Graduation Semester: It's a select column type. With this column, you can easily select the semester your students will graduate from. You can add more options to this column as you wish.
  • Image: It's an image column type. You can easily upload photos of your students to this column and then highlight these photos in card view.
  • Name: It's a text column. You can easily type your students' names to this column.
  • Surname: It's a text column. You can easily type your students' surnames to this column.
  • Email: It's a formula column. It's a formula column. This column combines the data in the "Name" and "Surname" columns by adding a dot (.) between them and automatically adds "@example.com" at the end. You can write your own domain instead. The formula used is; CONCATENATE({Name},".",{Surname},"@example.com"). This way you can automatically create an email address for each student with the same standards. You can also easily send an email by clicking on any of the emails in this column.
  • Department: It's a select column type. You can add different options to this column as you wish and easily select your students' departments from the options.
  • Completed Credits: It's a number column type. You can easily enter the completed credits of your students into this column.
  • Status: It's a select column type. You can easily track the status of your student via this column.
  • Advisor: It's a select column type. You can quickly select the advisor of the related student from this column. You can also add more advisors if you want.
  • Advisor Email: It's an email column type. The emails you write in this column are clickable. So when you click, your email provider opens and you can easily send emails.

Grid view (default):

This view presents the works in a traditional, but smarter, spreadsheet format, where each row represents a different task and the columns represent the various attributes of each students, such as department, contact info, advisor, image etc. It's the most detailed and comprehensive view, suitable for editing and entering data collaboratively.

Card view

Card view is one of the most effective ways to visualize data. Thanks to the card view, you can see all your rows as cards. You can have a more readable data view by highlighting your study assets in card view.

Kanban view (Student status):

Kanban view shows students as dynamic cards on a Kanban board, allowing you to visualize and manage your workflow. Each Kanban card represents a student and can be moved across columns representing different stages of the student (e.g., On track, Meets requirements, Behind etc.). This view helps track progress and manage student easily.

Kanban view (Advisors):

Kanban view shows students as dynamic cards on a Kanban board, allowing you to visualize and manage your workflow. Each Kanban card represents a student and can be moved across columns representing different stages of the studying process. This view helps track students and advisors easily.

Chart view (Departments):

Chart view is one of the Retable views that users need most and helps you quickly visualize your data and get meaningful reports from your data. Retable offers four different chart types: line, area, bar and pie. So you can easily visualize your data in real-time. This chart view displays departments on a pie chart.

Chart view (Student status):

This chart view displays students' status on a bar chart.
