What is project

Projects are structured collections of data tables and views that you can organize and manage within a workspace. Projects are the primary units of work where you and your team can collaborate, track progress, and analyze data. Each project can contain multiple tables, which hold your data, and views, which provide different ways to visualize and interact with that data. Projects are designed to be flexible and collaborative, allowing you to invite team members, assign roles, and share access to ensure everyone is aligned and informed.

Sharing project via link

Retable allows you to share your projects directly via a link. The steps below will help you share your Retable projects via the link.

  1. Click the three dots in your project header and select "Sharing settings.”
  2. Navigate to the "Project Link" tab in the popup window and activate the "Enable all tables in the project for public view" option.
  3. Use the "Copy link" feature to share your project's unique link, or directly open it in a new tab to preview what external viewers will see.
  4. If desired, activate the "Allow viewers to copy data" option, enabling shared users to replicate the project's tables and views into their own Retable dashboards as templates.
  5. For Team Plan users, you can personalize the Retable branding to reflect your organization's identity, enhancing the professional appearance of your shared project.

Inviting members to collaborate on a project

Retable allows you to invite your teammates to your Retable projects, so you can seamlessly collaborate with them by defining their roles and accesses.

  1. Click the share icon or access "Sharing settings" from the three dots in your workspace.
  2. Check the current list of individuals with access under the "Workspace Members" and "Project Members" sections.
  3. Input the email addresses of the people you want to invite and assign them a role (Owner, Editor, or Viewer).
  4. Click the "Invite" button to send out your invitations; the recipients will appear under the "Project Members."
  5. You can rRemove any user from the project or workspace by clicking the cross icon next to their name.

Managing project access

  1. Sharing a project does not grant access to your entire workspace but targets a specific project.
  2. You can share directly with your team, instantly syncing with all pre-added team members, or use a public link, which doesn't require recipients to have Retable accounts.
  3. The direct team share simplifies internal collaboration, while link sharing extends flexibility, allowing anyone, even non-Retable users, to view the project.
  4. This distinction ensures precise and controlled sharing, aligning access with your collaboration needs.
