Columns of the project schedule spreadsheet template

  • Task ID: This is a type of autonumber column that automatically assigns IDs to your tasks. These IDs are unique and do not change even if you change the order of your rows. You cannot make manual data changes in the autonumber column type.
  • Milestone:Β It's a select column type and shows the milestones of your tasks. You can add more milestone options to this column or activate the multi-select option if you must select multiple milestones for each task.
  • Task name: It's a text column type. Here, you can find the name of each task, which provide a quick idea for each of them.
  • Description: It's a text column type. Here, you can find the description of each task, which provide a detailed explanation for each of them.
  • Assigned resource: It's a select column type. The name listed here represents who is responsible for each task. You can change this column type to "Collaborator" to easily assign tasks to your teammates.
  • Start date: It's a calendar column type. Here you can find the start date of the projects. You can change the date format by customizing this column.
  • End date: It's a calendar column type. Here you can find the deadline for the project completion. You can change the date format by customizing this column.
  • Effort (hrs): It's a number column type. In this column type, you can write the effort required for your project in hours.
  • % Complete: It's a percent column type. When you write the percentage of your project completed in this column, a % sign is automatically added and your progress is displayed on the progress bar.
  • Status: It's a select column type. Indicates the current stage of each task of the project, such as 'Done', 'In Progress', 'Planned', etc. You can add more status option.
  • Predecessors: It's a text column type. You can write the IDs of other tasks that affect the tasks in your project and need to be completed first in this column.
